Microsoft it’s a good example of this process as they maintain an environment for both developers and gamers to adjust a perfect gaming experience for gamers. with the coming of the new generation of consoles, everything changed for Microsoft as a brand and publisher. They bought more than 20 studios to expand their exclusive market and reach new horizons in the gaming industry. Besides, Microsoft announced more than 10 games for the Xbox series and this is a huge number of exclusive games waiting on the list to be shown and play.

New Area of Gaming

Xbox done many changes in the structure of the company and they constantly trying to fulfill an investment in accessibility for gamers. this contains PC release games and buying new studios, besides, all of the exclusive games are available in the game pass system. Matching all these together, the result is they improved in sales, and game pass now has more than 20 million users on Xbox and PC. This has been a big win for Xbox so far as they have more than 10 exclusive games and more than 25 studios working together to develop new IPs and high-quality AAA games. Let’s take look at these studios and the projects they are working on at the moment.

343Industries

We all are familiar with this good old studio. They are famous because of the development of the Halo series. Their new game, Halo Infinite released almost a year ago and to be honest it was a good game compared with the development hell it got during the last 4 years. It is good to know Halo infinite constantly getting updates on the online mode and many players are enjoying the new seasons. Online and multiplayer mode has had so many problems after the release, but after a year many changes have occurred to the game and it is quite playable.

After the release of Halo, many employees left the studio and the Xbox Head manager changed the structure of the studio by introducing a new manager. Now, they are highly focused to expand the online mode of Halo Infinite. Their upcoming project has not been announced yet, but rumors say it is not a Halo game.

Arcane

Arcane joined Xbox due to buying the Bethesda game studios. It is a talented studio with many good IPs and they are focusing on their new Xbox exclusive upcoming game, Redfall. Redfall is likely an immersive sim game, but it is designed for the Co-Op genre. It is their first online-based game and you have to kill vampires and other creatures to find a way on the road to success. It is not a promising game. However, it is soon to judge the game only based on what they’ve shown so far. Arcane is really talented in making games and the Dishonored series found a huge fanbase. We can only hope we see a good game from this studio.

Bethesda Game Studios

The familiar name, Bethesda games always comes with joy. The studio is huge and many people daily work on the new project called Starfield. Starfield is a huge game and the most important upcoming Xbox exclusive. The game contains more than 1000 planets to explore according to the director of the game, and you have a whole new combat system designed for this game. It is even more huge than Skyrim so you might know how big it could be. It is been a long-term project for Bethesda to work on this game and they are many new elements announced to be present in the game.

Elements like a new combat system and a new adventure setup. From what it seems, this is the ticket for Xbox to win over some good exclusive game after maybe 2-3 years. Many Bethesda fans are excited to see how the game would turn out. This can start a whole new era for Xbox-exclusive games as they were limited to games like Halo and Gears of war. We can only wish for Bethesda to continue to develop AAA games and don’t run into disasters like the online Fallout games. They are rumors that Bethesda is working on new Fallout too, however, we don’t know how much it’s true or false. They are only focused on releasing Starfield as it is coming in early 2023.

MachineGames games

The developer of Wolfenstein is busy working on something different. We don’t know that much about their new project but you may not believe this, it is a new Indiana Jones game! Machinegames is famous for the violence in video games and they developed super great shooter games. We saw a teaser from Indiana Jones’s new game, however, we don’t know that much about the gameplay and other elements present in the game. According to the interview with the director of the game, they want to build something original from the Indiana Jones universe.

What it could be? We can only wait to see what they’ve prepared for us. The release date is unknown but there is no chance that they announce a release date in 2023. It is exciting, but it is too far.

Ninja Theory

This studio is famous for the Hellblade series and they are working on Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 for years now. The game has been announced years ago, however, we didn’t hear that much from it. A small teaser of gameplay shown back to last year and it seems great in graphics and combat. We thrive to learn about the game and finally hear a release date. Besides the studio is working on the other unknown project. Again, they show a very short teaser of it and we know it is somehow a horror psychological game

 This project is famously known as Project: Mara and we might hear more after the release of Hellblade 2. Ninja theory is busy with a new title too, there is absolutely no information about this title.

Obsidian Entertainment

Here come some goodies! Obsidian Entertainment is famous for many beloved titles and they are now owned by Xbox studios. They are best known for their role-playing game expertise and yes, their new project is the sequel of Outerworlds 2 it is delightful news to hear they are developing a sequel for this beloved franchise. Well, this game is near release and we will see the game sometime in 2023. The game seems ready and stable as they show gameplay footage from last year. The good news is, Obsidian is very busy with other projects too.

They released a game this year called Grounded and it was a huge success as many players are enjoying the game right now. It is an online based game with shooting and RPG elements. Many critics and gamers found it really fun to play the game and Obsidian is working on updates to improve the experience. The game is being vaster as the developers are really working hard on expanding the game and pushing it to be an MMO open-world game.

Did I forget to mention the biggest news? Well, Obsidian is hardly working on the title called Avowed. From what we know and what the developer said about the game, Avowed is a big RPG game and it follows the path of Skyrim in the gameplay. The game is said to be super huge and they are expanding the world of this game to be a fantasy RPG style. Avowed is the biggest project Obsidian has ever done so we might not hear from the game for a long time. Based on what developers said they have no hurry to release the game and they won’t release it until they make sure it is polished and playable. They are not looking for a release disaster like Skyrim I guess!

Playground Games

Racing fans are well familiar with Playground Games studious. They are famous for the Forza Horizon series. They are a super talented team in developing racing games and their new project was announced to be a new Forza Horizon game. This game will be huge and more fun than previous numbers. They have another project too, however, and it is quite out of character for them to work in such a genre. The new project is a reboot of the beloved Fable series. Well, we cannot judge the work of the studio until we see actual gameplay footage from the game.

News around the development of the game is not positive as seemingly many employees are frustrated by the development speed. Some of them even left the studio and we don’t know what is going on inside, we can only wish the project won’t be canceled and we see a good fable game after 20 years.

Rare games

Rare games have a big root in the video game world as they are one of the oldest studios that ever existed. They are updating Sea of Thieves and many players are enjoying playing the game so far. The game got better and better after the release and now it is quite a routine for some gamers to play the game daily. However, they are working on 2 new titles, one of them is Everwild and the other one has not been announced yet. Everwild is a mysterious fantasy game and it looks awesome when you look at the details of the game.

Unlike Sea of Thieves, it is a single-player game with a huge open world to explore and the release date is somewhere around 2024. So we have a long time to wait and we don’t know what to anticipate from this huge game but we can only hope it is a good game as their past games.

The Coalition games

The developer of the beloved Gears of War series went silent after the release of the 5^th game. We don’t know what they are working on, but they are supporting Gears of War 5 online with huge updates. They are seeming to experiment with unreal engine 5 and this could lead to new Gears of War game. We would be delighted if they work on a new IP. We can only wish!
