in all ways when we look at other home consoles before the PS5. Also, the
console contains Custom AMD RDNA 2 36 CUs Variable frequency up to 2.23 GHz
10.3 TFLOPS peak. This GPU is not that satisfying compared to other monstrous
GPUs in the market, but it`s been a while since AMD announced the Super
Resolution option for developers. Super Resolution in brief is a competition
software scaling with the DLSS technology of Nvidia.
This technology
helps developers to provide a higher resolution without using the whole amount
of power over this matter. This tech helps PS5 to easily reach 4k resolution
during playing heavy games. However, not every developer tends to use this tech
for their game development. Another big factor in the PS5 hardware is the
custom storage called Custom 825 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. Using NVMe technology
help PS5 to completely disappear the loading screens. Meanwhile, the speed of
the storage process went beyond everyone’s expectations, and right now no game
would challenge this hardware on paper.
Another big
factor that provides this console to be a huge difference from the last gen is
the controller. Well, Sony tends to completely change the design of the gamepad
and armed it with new techs that only could be found on this controller. The
controller is called Dual Sense and it is a new series of gamepads only
designed for PS5. There are numerous technologies used in this controller and
developers put a lot of afford behind this piece of plastic. One of the biggest
changes on the gamepad is the ergonomy of the controller. The shape of the
controller has revolutionary changed and it is a lot more comfortable now. It
is designed for all hand sizes and the triggers can do a lot better in these
positions.
There is a new
option on the triggers called the adaptive trigger. In brief, Adaptive Triggers
are developed for enhancing the real experience of what happens in the game at
the moment. For example, if your character in the game tries to mount a bow,
you would definitely feel this motion with the trigger. This is a huge
opportunity for developers to change the game in its own way and attempt to
bring new experiences to gamers. though, only some PS-exclusive games used this
technology properly and other developers didn’t show any interest to use this
tech in their games.
Dual Sense also
uses an in-built microphone now and gamers don’t need to input a headphone in
order to talk in group chats or PS parties. This is a really smart design and
solved many problems. Also, it can nominate PS5 as the best console when it
comes to online games. There is a varied range of other technologies that are
used in this gamepad, but maybe the least important of them is the motion
sensors. The battery, however, is still a disaster and you cannot really expect
to see something strong in this section for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox series.
You can play your daily playthrough without charging the gamepad, but it is not
satisfying at all.
EXCLUSIVE GAMES
ARE THE REAL POWER
AAA game
development is becoming harder and harder yearly as the budget and spending
have a huge conflict. However, sony has a long root in developing AAA
high-quality games as an exclusive for their console. This strategy started in
the PS2 era and now it become one of the biggest strong points of this
company. The real strength of PS5 hides
behind exclusive games and sony tends to announce a bunch of them for PS5 which
are exciting enough to be hyped for. So far, there are games like God OF War
and Horizon released for the console, however, the two pointed-out games are a
Mid-Gen experience.
We didn’t have
a chance to see the real power of PS5 exclusive games yet, due to the strategy
sony picked for releasing games on PS4 as long as possible. But there is a huge
difference when you compare these games together, especially in the graphics
matter. There are some games like
Returnal that are only released on PS5, though, they are jaw-dropping in
graphics and other elements. Although, there are games that have been announced
only for PS5, such as Wolverine. We don’t have a release date yet. What we can
say for certain is sony is once again ready to release high-quality exclusive
games.
One of the
biggest anticipated games that were only released for PS5 is Demon’s souls.
This game is a remake of the original game and it was developed and remade for
PS5 by the Bluepoint team. The graphics and gameplay of this game are
incurable. We are hungry to see more of these game runs on the PS5 console and for
sure, Sony has a big plan for expanding exclusive games, especially now. Xbox
hands are not tightened this time and they are expanding their exclusive games
as well. This competition would lead to the development of huge games for both
sides of this console war.
Overall, buying
a PS5 is one of the most joyful and wise decisions that you can make during
this generation of consoles. If you are looking forward to VR games and want to
buy a PS VR2 make sure you buy the PS5 first because PS VR2 is dependent on PS5
and you cannot play games without having a PS5 in the first place. The number
of PS5 exclusive are rising yearly and it is a very good decision to invest
your gaming experience almost 6 years ahead in this console. plus, there might
be a pro version of PS5 soon and you want to have the original version in all
ways before that happens.
The pricing of
this console is amazing and there are various bundles you can buy you don’t
have to limit yourself to only choosing between the standard edition or the digital
edition. The difference between these two is that the Standard edition contains
a blue-ray player that allows you to play with a disc, however, the digital
edition as the name suggests only supports digital games and you cannot play
games with a disc. therefore, the digital edition is 100$ cheaper than the
standard one which makes it reasonable to buy this edition in the first place.
