Your first partner

Grookey is a Grass-type Chimp Pokémon that is full of boundless curiosity.

Scorbunny is a Fire-type Rabbit Pokémon that is always running about.

Sobble is a somewhat timid Water-type Water Lizard Pokémon that shoots out attacks as it hides itself in water.

New Pokémon to discover, catch and train!

Many different species of Pokémon call the Galar region home. Much is unknown about the biology of these Pokémon, so researchers are working diligently to discover more information. Here are just some of the new Pokémon you’ll encounter.

There are several differences between Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, such as the species of Pokémon that appear and different Gym Leaders to challenge.

Galarian forms!

Certain Pokémon have adapted to the unique environment of one specific region and look different than the same species might look when found in another region.

These different appearances are known as the regional forms of those Pokémon, and it seems their behaviour also differs from that of their previously discovered forms. The Galar region has its own regional forms of Pokémon, known as Galarian forms!
