God of War: Ragnarok is the sequel to the popular and successful God of War game developed by Sony Santa Monica Studio. Fimbulwinter, the great winter before Ragnarok (the end of the world) is underway, and Kratos and Itrius must travel to all nine realms to confront the Norse gods, while the Asgardian army prepares for the apocalyptic battle of Ragnarok. In this adventure, Kratos and Itrius travel through stunning lands, face formidable foes, and witness the true power of the Norse gods. Ragnarok is imminent and Kratos and Itrius must choose between themselves and the fate of the 9 Realms.
Etrius is aware of Loki's prophecy and seeks answers to his role in Ragnarok. Will Kratos repeat his past mistakes or be the father that Etrius needs?
Along with Leviathan Ax, Chaos Swords, and Guardian Shield, Kratos will have new tools to navigate the environment and fight enemies, and Itrius is also a skilled warrior. Battling the Norse gods, the skills of Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta, are challenged harder than ever, and Kratos must use any means necessary to protect his only son.

After the death of Kratos' wife, he and Itrius fulfill Fae's last request and embark on a journey to scatter her ashes from the highest peak in the Nine Realms.
Along the way, Kratos teaches Etrius how to survive and fight so that he can protect himself from various dangers, but keeps the secrets of the gods from him. The gods are always in danger, and Kratos doesn't want the curse that turned him into the ghost of Sparta to haunt his son.
Brooke and Sandri, the Holdra brothers, are legendary blacksmith dwarves. Known throughout the Nine Realms for their unrivaled blacksmithing skills, they use their craft only for the gods. With the mediation of Kratos and Itrius, these two brothers put aside their differences and support the two in their adventure, but Ragnarok will challenge the bond of brotherhood for the last time.
Tyr is the forgotten war god of Azir. Tir was once a traveler and a friend of the giants, and his goal was to make peace between the Azir and Yotnar, but he was imprisoned after Odin declared war on Yotenheim, the land of the giants.
Angruboda is one of the last remaining giants in the Nine Realms, who has been hiding after the destruction of Yotnheim by Odin so that when the opportunity is right, Yotnar's prophecy will come true.
Freya is a Vanir goddess and former commander of the Valkyries. She is the former wife of Odin and the former queen of the Aesir, and although her son Baldur did not like Freya, after her death, Freya swore to spend the rest of her life avenging Kratos and Itrius, and all nine realms. They will not stop.
Kratos is the Spartan war god after killing Ares, who has started a new life in Midgard after destroying Olympus. Kratos must choose between protecting Itrius and protecting the Nine Realms from the Apocalypse.
Itrius is now a teenage boy. He is the son of Kratos, the Spartan god of war, and Phi, a giant known as Luffy "fair" in Jutenheim, and Loki among the giants and the Azir. Etrius wants to learn more about his background and roots in Jutenheim and has been training harder to become as skilled and invincible as his father.
